This tutorial is designed to help configure Microsoft's new Windows XP
Personal Firewall for use with mIRC. Firewalls have always presented a
problem for IRC clients, and the personal firewall included with Windows
XP is no different. Fortunately, it is an easy configuration to allow not
only identd (necessary to connect to many IRC networks) but also DCC
functionality. This tutorial assumes very few things, most importantly,
obviously, is that you have Windows XP. If you are using another version
of windows, or a different firewall such as ZoneAlarm, this tutorial is
not for you.
